JANUARY 2017 Issue 1
A little bit about
First, a hearty thank you to each and every partner that has entrusted us to promote your business, your organization, and your community. Second, and most importantly, thank you for helping us build a community of the future one partnership at a time.
What a great way to start a new year! Shortly after the first of the year our social media campaign reach exceeded an astounding 100,000 people per week, and we are just getting started.
Our partner list is also growing. In addition to local businesses and organizations, we now have the support of Route 66 associations in Australia, Germany, Japan, and the Netherlands

Jim Hinckley’s America ~ A Trek Along Route 66
The first installment in a two part promotional video series is near-
ing completion. The introductory clip posted on the Promote King-
man Facebook page has been viewed more than 42,000 times. This provides a pretty fair assessment of the videos potential.
The first video will focus on Kingman, its rich and colorful history, and why the city is a destination for a legion of international travelers. It will include a guided tour by internationally acclaimed author and lecturer Jim Hinckley. Through limited license it will be provided to the tourism office, local realtors, and other parties interested in using it to promote the area. It will also be included as a part of the presentations made by Hinckley internationally.
The second installment will focus on our 160-miles of smiles, the Route 66 corridor that stretches from Seligman to Topock. This will allow for the showcasing of attractions such as Hualapai Mountain
Park, Keepers of the Wild, Grand Canyon Caverns, the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, and the Route 66 Electric Vehicle Museum.
Funding is crucial for development as well as distribution. A sponsor of the video series would receive tremendous international exposure, and provide a community service. For information and details about sponsorship, contact Promote Kingman.
Chillin on Beale

In addition, Promote Kingman will be hosting a free movie night in conjunction with Chillin’ on Beale. Movies filmed in the Kingman area and on Route 66 will be featured. Grand Canyon Caverns is offering a special lunch and tour rate that provides additional opportunity for marketing this as a weekend event.
